Project Controller     

The Project Controller will be responsible for planning and monitoring multiple projects finances throughout the respective lifecycle, with a focus on risk assessment, cost monitoring and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a Business Analysis/Project Management background.

Responsibilities 

  • Creating a project schedule and project team based on resource availability, in conjunction with the Engagement Manager and Project Leads
  • Creating a project budget including the timing of resource and other cost usage
  • Reviewing project schedule and team breakdown with the Engagement Manager and Project Leads
  • Compiling project burn down schedule with a list of resources and costs
  • Compile invoicing schedule for the project based on the terms of the Statement of Work 
  • Monitoring actual hours/burn down on a weekly basis and reporting any discrepancies from budget to the Project Lead
  • Creating invoices and getting them approved by the Accounting Department and Engagement Manager

Skills and Requirements 

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Project Management/Coordinator experience 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce/Salesforce Administrator certification is an asset
  • Experience with NetSuite is an asset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience/knowledge of the agile development process  
  • Technical degree/background is an asset
  • Accounting or finance degree/background is an asset
  • Experience using JIRA an asset 
  • PMP/Other PMI or  is an asset
